The Santa Cruz County Office of Education is proud to offer a career pathway into dental assisting through the CALS Dental Assisting program. For over two decades, our program has equipped students with the essential entry-level knowledge, skills, and clinical practice needed in the field of dental assisting.
As a valued member of the dental health team, a dental assistant performs crucial duties in the dental office. Our instruction is focused on chairside assisting, patient care, and related duties, with minimal emphasis on front office administrative skills. The CALS Dental Assisting program provides comprehensive didactic instruction, technical training, and certifications, preparing students to excel in the dental industry.
